I've never heard of this type of service. Is it a scam?

No. Any third party claims advocates that work with insurance companies must operate under an Australian Financial Service (AFS) License. These are heavily scrutinised by the government and are not easily obtained.  As we can only undertake works that the insurer approves there is no out of pocket expense for you.

We don't charge for our services! Once settled, if you transition to our preferred builder, you pay us absolutely nothing!Only if you decide not to use our preferred builder, you pay us an agreement cancelation fee of 15%.

The excess amount depends on your policy. The good news? TPM Claims will cover your excess*!
*TPM Claims will cover your excess up to $500. On a discretionary basis, we may agree to cover more depending on your policy!

Once your claim has been settled and your works begin with our preferred builders, they will pay us a referral fee.

What if I would rather keep the cash settlement?

Accepted Answer

No problem! Once TPM Claims has delivered on reaching the settlement that you're entitled to, you may choose to keep the settlement funds to procure a builder of your own. If you opt to keep your settlement funds, you will be liable to pay TPM Claims a cancelation fee.
